Cate Bower, BMus (Hons), ADPA
Cate is a highly regarded singing teacher specialising in vocal technique, known for delivering exceptional results. Her students have successfully gained places at leading performing arts institutions including Italia Conti, Wilkes Academy and Emil Dale Academy, and she consistently prepares singers to meet the highest industry standards.
Working with both emerging talent and established professionals, Cate provides expert coaching for auditions and performance, with a focus on technical precision, artistic development and confident, compelling delivery. She maintains a 100% exam pass rate across ABRSM and LCM, reflecting her passionate and dedicated approach.
Cate trained at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, graduating in Vocal and Operatic Studies. She studied under Cathy Benson and worked closely with leading language and performance specialists. Her performance credits include Mercedes in Bizet’s Carmen, Nora in the world premiere of Michael Wolter’s Ava’s Wedding, and Salome in Stradella’s San Giovanni Battista.
She has performed with ensembles including the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Preston Cecilian, and CBSO Chorus, collaborating with distinguished conductors such as Simon Halsey, Andris Nelsons, and Edward Gardner, and appearing at major venues including Symphony Hall, the Bridgewater Hall, and the Royal Festival Hall.
