Alison Taylor, GTCL LTCL FISM

Alison is a graduate of Trinity College London and has 25 years teaching experience, instructing students of all levels and ages in piano and violin. She has an excellent background in preparing students for exams and auditions - recently some younger students (ages 9 and 10) have passed ABRSM grades 5 and 6, and these huge achievements led them to enter for the National Children's Youth Orchestra.

Students looking for a less formal route are always welcome too. Alison has plenty of experience working with beginners and adults who are resuming the violin later in life. It is always the intent to create lessons which leave students happy and inspired without the pressure to perform but with the option if they desire.

As if teaching music all day isn’t enough, Alison also performs herself, playing in a local Leamington orchestra. This is an excellent way for students to feel encouraged and inspired, watching their teacher practise what she preaches! She is a member of Equity and has ISM registered Private Teacher Status.

“Every student is a unique individual and my main aspiration is to inspire the enjoyment and love of music, in addition to learning technique and studying for exams.”
